CHICKEN EGGS ~ $5/dozen
Better tasting than a store-bought egg, and much healthier. Our pastured chickens get a more nutrient-rich diet than battery birds, with access to worms, bugs and greens in addition to their regular feed. They also get fresh air, exercise and sunshine. Basically, pastured eggs are the most nutrient-dense eggs you’ll ever eat. (Here’s the research on that, by the way.)

Oh – and when you mention this web page, you get 1/2 off your first dozen.

TURKEY EGGS ~ $6/dozen
Eggs from our turkeys! Meet our turkeys here.

DUCK EGGS ~ $6/dozen
In addition to chicken eggs, we’ve also got duck eggs. Richer in flavor and even higher in Omega-3 fatty acids (so they say), duck eggs are delicious, excellent for baking. And ours come from our truly happy ducks, raised naturally on their own pond.

Buff Sussex in Winter

WINTER AVAILABILITY
Note: chickens lay fewer eggs in the fall and winter.

Some farms augment this by putting lamps in the hen house at night; more light means better laying – but that’s not our approach.

Because our birds spend their nights down in the pasture (each flock in its own A-frame flock house) they lay on their natural cycle: lots in the spring and summer, less when it’s colder and darker.

So, while we do have eggs available for you, bear in mind they’re not as abundant right now.

Speak up if you want some, because they go fast!
